M S L SALGADO Dr. Lakshman Salgado, a doyen of the medico-legal field, passed away on the 30th of August, at the ripe old age of 89. He was the Chief Judicial Medical Officer, Colombo from 1982 to 1990. A hard task master, he expected nothing but the best from his many trainees who now adorn the field of forensic medicine. His meticulous attention to detail enabled him to solve many murders and other medico legal matters.
